We offer specialized Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) to help individuals experiencing dizziness, vertigo, balance problems, and headaches.
Our physiotherapists use advanced assessment tools and evidence-based exercises to retrain the vestibular (inner ear) system, reduce symptoms, and restore your confidence in movement.
Vestibular Rehabilitation is a specialized form of physiotherapy designed to treat disorders of the inner ear and balance system.
When the vestibular system — which helps control your sense of balance and spatial orientation — is disrupted, you may experience:
Our goal is to identify the root cause of your symptoms and help your brain and body work together again through targeted movement and retraining exercises.
Our physiotherapists are trained to assess and treat a range of vestibular and balance-related conditions, including:
Your vestibular rehabilitation program begins with a comprehensive assessment of your balance, eye movements, posture, and neck mobility.
From there, we design a personalized treatment plan that may include:
Each session is tailored to your tolerance and progress — helping you regain stability and confidence step by step.
An initial assessment is approx. 45 mins – 1 hour which include detailed history and assessment of ear canals, oculomotor tests, balance assessment, gait evaluation, posture, cervical assessment, etc. as required. There is anatomical connection of various structures in the body like the eye, Vestibular system(inner ear ), balance center in the brain, etc, it’s all connected. Hence the assessment includes testing of all areas to identify impairment.
Thus we determine deficits and possible pathology. A comprehensive treatment plan is then developed. If any red flags are noted during the assessment then your therapist might send a referral to a physician for further assessment.
Vestibular assessments involve provocative tests and patients might feel worse before they feel better. It is advisable to have a companion for a ride back home.
The type of vestibular disorder will greatly dictate the recovery timeline. Unstable or progressive disorders and conditions affecting both ears may require a few weeks while conditions like BPPV may require fewer appointments. Other factors that impact recovery include a sedentary lifestyle, adherence to exercise therapy, unhealthy diet, lack of sleep, neck pain/stiffness, anxiety, depression, and reliance on vestibular suppressant medications. Home exercise program are crucial for recovery as well.
If dizziness, vertigo, or headaches are limiting your daily life, our vestibular rehabilitation program can help you regain stability and confidence.
Our team is committed to helping you move, function, and live symptom-free.
