Trigger point / Myofascial Release
Our body has intricate web of fascia throughout. Due to physical injury, metal stress, poor posture etc there is malalignment or shortening of fascia. Using massage therapy techniques, the fascia can be released to restore malalignment and relieve pain.
Trigger points are the source of pain usually described as sensitive spots within your muscle tissues. Release of trigger point is possible using massage technique. Deep and strong pressure is applied and will be unpleasant but once released you will feel reduction in sensitivity and pain. Soreness may last and can be best treated by hot pack. Needling can also be used to release trigger points by licensed physiotherapist.
